Allene Edwards

From the time she could talk, Allene Edwards chose instead to sing. One of her earliest memories is a performance she gave while standing on the dining room table. Luckily her mother approved, as she was sole member of the audience. Allene began writing poetry, music, and lyrics by the time she was 12, and began performing at 17. To her surprise, motherhood trumped music; her first career ended with the birth of her first child. Her second career as a mental health case manager and counselor was equally fulfilling. She excelled in diagnostics and crisis counseling and intended to return to school to attain a PhD when her third career took over her life. When Allene began writing, she discovered her true passion. She has since completed four novels and has worked as a grants writer and an editor before becoming the editor for Organic Lifestyle Magazine and Green Lifestyle Magazine. She is a frequent contributor (though not always credited—her choice) for both publications. |
