Murkowski Wants to Stop EPA Regulation of Greenhouse Gases
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) seeks to stop the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate carbon dioxide pollution from power plants, manufacturers, and most of the other major emission sources for one year. Murkowski’s proposed amendment would allow the EPA to continue regulating emissions from automobiles. The
Washington Independent says that Murkowski’s spokesperson told them, “Murkowski does not want to thwart action on climate change entirely — just put it; off for a bit longer.”
