Sigourney Weaver Takes Control of Fox Interview
Prior to its release, two Fox News staff attempted to interview Sigourney Weaver about the blockbuster film,
Avatar. After showing a brief clip and opening with chit chat, Ms. Weaver told them she was not there to promote
Avatar; she was there to talk about the documentary film,
The Acid Test, which she had narrated.
She went on to quickly relay many startling facts about the acidification of the oceans due to rising levels of CO2, never allowing her agenda to be derailed. It was unclear whether she hijacked the interview or if Fox News made a mistake. Whichever was the case, Weaver’s masterful control of the interview allowed her to share much needed information.
